Van Persie Transfer Saga

Last year it was Fabregas and Nasri, this year it is Van Persie. The question that only remains is how much and where to. I am an avid Arsenal fan but even then I have to concede that RVP is not going to stay. We shall sorely miss him. However lets look at how the Arsenal sales have done in the past.

Robert Pires: Broke his leg in his first season away from Arsenal.
Mathieu Flamini: Remember this guy? Know where he is now? Neither do I.
Henry: Sold to Barce, loaned to New York, never returned to his former glory
Fabregas: Had a super start, but fizzled in the end. Won 3 "trophies" in his first month there, but did not win one major trophy. Not even La Liga.
Nasri: Was an unused sub for most of the league. Man City did win the championship, but he did not contribute much and was not at his Arsenal best.

MICHAEL MIZRACHI Wins the 2012 Poker Players' Championship

The Grinder does it again. His 3rd WSOP bracelet, but his 2nd Poker Players' Championship. Arguably one of the hardest tournaments around, with big names and needing proficiency in 8 different games, he's done it again. This win earns him another $1.4 million to add to his poker winnings. Still it is only his 3rd biggest score from a tournament. Unbelievable.

EURO 2012 Quarter Finals - Czech Republic vs Portugal

We're in the Quarters. First up the Czechs will face Portugal. Portugal is ranked 10th in the world as opposed to 37th for the Czech Republic. Of course the book makers are favouring Portugal. Unsurprisingly seeing as their main man Ronaldo is on a hot streak, scoring 2 goals and hitting the post twice in his last game. We hope he will continue to do so as I am going to go for OVER 2.5 goals.

I think this should be a good bet as we shall see Portugal continue to press their attacking style. If Portugal scores first, then the Czechs will have to respond. That means more open spaces and more goals. In their last game, Portugal should have scored at least 3-4 goals. So this can be a very open encounter.

I have played with Celina a couple of times. She is a friendly person, great smile and always with kind words to say. She is not a proud person and with her good looks, it doesn't surprise me she is a fan favourite. After a spell of bad luck and really tough tournaments, it is great to see her win another prestigious title. And her winning hand? 64 off suit!!!! You go girl! :)

Denmark vs Germany, Portugal vs Holland

Alright, 3 from 3 so far. Sorry for being away for a few days. I didn't feel like predicting on those games. And luckily I didn't. Would have lost but not worth the punt to just break even. Now lets make some serious money.

Denmark vs Germany
Germany are safely through, and Holland are suffering. The Dutch however still has a mathematical chance if the Germans can beat Denmark by a big score while the Dutch beat Portugal convincingly. However if I were the Germans, I wouldn't mind letting Denmark steal a point from this game, ensuring that the Dutch will go home empty handed and tails between their legs. I will take Denmark +1 or even straight out draw for this game for great returns. Be prepared to be surprised.

Portugal vs Holland
Portugal can still advance without winning but they must be thinking what I am thinking about what the Denmark vs Germany game. Holland will need to win this game, not just for a chance of advancing but to save face. Expect both teams to attack furiously, especially the Dutch. This will be a high scoring game, so I will go for OVER 2.5 goals.

France vs England, Ukraine vs Sweden

Well, we got one. Draw and under 2.5 goals between Spain and Italy. Not many would have predicted this outcome but we did it here.

Now France vs England is too hard to call. England looks shaky recently and the French aren't doing that great either. Neither team have shown consistency when it comes to big matches. Honestly I would advice to avoid betting on this match entirely. If you want a punt, go for OVER 2.5 but bet small.

For Ukraine vs Sweden, both teams are attacking, and have poor defenses. All of their last 10-15 games combined have been OVER 2.5 goals. I would bet strongly on OVER 2.5 goals in this game. It would still be hard to call which team will win, but I think Ukraine might scrap through. For a side bet with long odds, go for Ukraine 2:1, 3:1 or 3:2. But make sure you bet enough on OVER 2.5 to make a profit in case you lose your scoreline bets.

EURO 2012: Spain vs Italy Preview

What a shocker. Denmark managed to pull an upset against the mighty Dutch. However the Dutch team wasted so many chances. 21 shots off target in all. Lets hope for a better result in our next games.

Spain vs Italy, not as easy to call as you think. World number 1 vs World number 12. The last time they met, Italy won 2:1. However Spain has had a really good build up to this game, winning 5 international games in a row. Whatever it is, it will make for a fun game to watch and bet on. However don't go crazy and bet big. Champions League Final Preview: Bayern Munich vs Chelsea

This is it, last major soccer game until euro 2012. Who will be the best club of Europe? Man City showed that money can bring you success. Can Chelsea's millions finally bring them European glory or with Munich silence them?

Going on form, both teams are doing well. Bayern is running hot with great attacking style and scoring goals by the buckets. Chelsea didn't do too well in the league but their recent resurgence and success in the FA cup showed that they can win this just as much as Bayern.

FA Cup Final Preview: Chelsea vs Liverpool Betting Tips

Most people may be focused on the Premiership race between the two Manchester teams, but tonight, Chelsea will face off with Liverpool at Wembley for the FA Cup. This is a tricky game to bet on. Chelsea is riding high with some big wins and has a chance to win the Champions League. Liverpool on the other hand has been very inconsistent and it has been a disappointing season for them despite winning the League Cup.

EPL Preview: Manchester United vs Manchester City

Europa League Preview

First game tonight, Atletico Madrid vs Valencia. 8th vs 3rd from La liga. You would think Valencia would have the upper hand. However Madrid has been playing really well lately, especially at home. Valencia on the other hand got crushed 4:0 last time out. I would go to Atletico to narrowing beat Valencia, possible 2:1.

As for Sporting vs Atletico Bilbao, I fancy the home team to win as well. Although between Portugal and Spain, you would think the latter have higher quality football than the other. However Sporting has done so well recently and at home, I think Sporting would have the advantage in this game. Saw how Chelsea managed to hold off Barcelona at home? I think Sporting should be able to do the same. At 2.70 to win, it is a great bet with great returns.

EPL Preview: Norwich vs Manchester City

Hi guys, hope all is going well. It is the weekend again and lets make some money.

There is only one EPL game this Saturday feature title chasers Manchester City. Mancini has conceded the Premiership saying that 5 points is still too far. But I think it is just a psychological ploy to motivate his team to turn the odds around. At one point they were 8 points away but why would he say that when their position has improved?

Norwich has done well for a newly promoted team, but the sheer desire and quality of the City team will be too tough for the home side.

EPL Preview (11th April 2012)

It is rare that I tip a triple bet but here it comes.

Manchester City vs West Bromwich: This is the simplest thing. If Manchester City even wants a sniff at the title, they have to win this game. Mancini will push his men to get a good win, Man City will definitely be coming out guns firing. Man City -1 for better returns.

Wigan vs Manchester United: Many people might want to see Man Utd drop some points to see the title race gap close up. However Wigan is not going to be the team to do that. Man Utd should win but the scoreline might not be too convincing.

Wolves vs Arsenal: Arsenal has a shot at solidifying their third spot with Tottenham and Chelsea failing to win their games. Arsenal is still on a very good run including a great win against City last time out.

NBA Preview: LA Lakers vs NO Hornets

Rarely the high flying LA Lakers are slight favourites to beat the struggling Hornets. It is because Kobe won't be playing. The Laker star is sidelined with a swollen shin. Without their star, Lakers fell to the Suns by 20 points. However they still managed to score 105 points. That can't be said for the Hornets that have struggled offensively all season long. The Hornets average 89.4 points all season.

I think this is a rare shot to get great odds for Lakers to beat the Hornets. Lakers -3 is the best bet. Without Kobe, they are still strong enough to muscle past the Hornets with the likes of Gasol and Bynum. For a safer bet go for Lakers to win.

EPL Preview: Arsenal vs Manchester City

Everyone is talking about this game and the betting will be fierce. Although I would suggest to avoid punting on this match but I am tempted to put something into it to spice things up.

Arsenal have been on a pretty good run until last week's shock loss to QPR. RVP is not firing like his usual ways and they have lacked goals from other players lately. Man City on the other hand is not that hot recently either. However they may have Sergio Aguero back who tormented many a team with his skill including the gunners.

This match however should be one exciting one. I expect to see both teams go all out to get a win. Arsenal needs it to secure 3rd place and Manchester City needs it to have a shot at the premiership. Plenty of attacking and must I say, neither defense is doing super great at the moment, so that is why I would have a shot at OVER 2.5 goals at BET365.

It is Champions League time again, and this time I hope for a more straightforward payout day. I am going to keep this short and sweet.

Barcelona vs AC Milan: Easy, go with Barca all the way. Barca tested the Milan defense on the away leg and was unlucky not to pull off the win. At home they will be too strong. Milan is not playing at their best and might see them lose this by 2 goals or more. For longer odds, go for Barcelona -1.

Bayern Munich vs Marseille: Again, I would go for the home team. Bayern beat Marseille away the last time, and they will not be happy to just defend that lead. They would want to kill off the tie in the first half. Marseille will come out firing however that would put their defense open for Bayern to attack.

NBA Preview: Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics

I seldom tip NBA games but I make most of my profit from NBA. They are easier to predict as it takes 80-90 shots a team to determine the winner, and that minimizes factors like luck or costly mistakes. Unlike Soccer, one stroke of luck or bad mistake can mean a very different result. Whereas basketball, skill and quality will mostly hold up.

Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics is a nice match up. Both teams are attacking minded and would be a great game to watch and bet on. Celtics are doing quite well this season with Paul Pierce showing some form despite his age. KG is not the player he was but he still can contribute. Ray Allen is Ray Allen. However I fancy the younger, faster, hungrier Miami trio of Wade, James and Bosh over the older trio from Boston.

Miami -3 seems like a good bet. It might be a close game but I predict Miami to pull it off with a strong 4th quarter to win by 7 or more. Stamina and energy will play a key part in this game.

For a side bet, go for OVER 186.5 points. Seems like a good bet as both teams will be eager to attack.
