APPT Cebu 2010 Review
17th November 2010
Went to Cebu for a week, played in 4 tournaments, cashed in only one. Here's my review on the trip.
Cebu
Cebu is a nice city with friendly people. The taxi drivers are friendly and on the whole honest. They do look for the occasional tip, but it was okay for me. The only time I felt unsafe was when I was mobbed by a group of children who tried to pick my pocket. They have pretty cheap massages, for Php 200 per hour. (approx USD6) Although you can get a similar massage at the Shangri-la Resort (where the APPT was held) for 10 times that price.
Poker
There were cash games at the APPT and I also played at the All-In Club at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino. The games were quite fishy at the casino and I made some decent profits. The players at the APPT were more solid, however still beatable. The atmosphere was friendly, overall a pretty nice experience.
APPT
First event was the Cebu Cup, however the structure was a bit too fast for my liking. I also played in the 20k NLHE, 20k NLHE Bounty and 30k PLO tournaments. I got bad beat in the 20k event with a donkey calling me all the way with middle pair. He rivered the set. The 20K bounty event I felt was the most fun. I finished 7th without taking a bounty, but still it was pretty cool. At the final table I sat next to Celina Lin (Pokerstars Pro Asia). She was very hot, and very cool at the same time. Really fun to play with, and really nice to talk to. I got to take a picture with her, but I am not posting my ugly mug here. However below is a picture of her. (*btw if Celina you're reading this, good luck and hope to play with you again sometime)

Overall I had a pretty good time, poker wise I broke even. I really wanted to play the 30k PLO but had I not done it, that was my profit. Anyway I will probably go back next year. If you guys would like a more detailed report of the event, post a comment with your email address with your questions. Thanks!

Tom Dwan (Durrrr) Wins A 40 Million Pot
15th November 2010
BIG NEWS: Tom Dwan aka Durrrr has won the biggest cash game pot that I have heard so far. HKD 22 million, approximately USD 2.8 million!
I am in transit at Singapore airport after spending the past week in Cebu at the APPT. I love Singapore and their attention to detail. So many free internet computers around here. Nice.
The past week Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan has been playing in Macau at the Asian Poker Tour. Most people were surprised that they would travel so far for a small tournament (by their standards). However little did we know that they were attracted by a juicy HKD10,000/20,000 cash game with plenty of rich fishes. (It's about USD 1500/3000) As expected, they both busted out of the main event and played the cash game.
Durrrr played in it and shoved with AK, called by two other players holding Queens and the other Tens. Durrrr however won the pot and it was said to be HKD 22,000,000. (approx. USD 2.8 million). It doesn't surprise me that the games got so big. Macau can have some crazy action.
PS: I will post my full report on the Cebu APPT after a good night's rest.

UEFA Champions League Group Stages Predictions & Tips
2nd November 2010
European week again. I am in a hurry so let's just jump straight in.
Tottenham vs Inter Milan
Last time around, I predicted Tottenham for an upset. Unfortunately they went 3 goals and 1 man down very early, but put on a strong fight to come back to 4:3. This time, at home, they have a strong chance of beating Inter Milan. For a safer bet, go for Tottenham (0) on Asian handicap.
Bursaspor vs Manchester United
I still don't know who Bursaspor is, but like I predicted last time, Man Utd did score a quick early goal. Coming off some good but tough results, Man Utd are back to their winning ways. They need to secure a place in the Champions League and soon. I expect Man Utd to come out firing again.
CFR Cluj vs Bayern Munich
Bayern is doing well lately and against Cluj even though away, they should win comfortably. Bayern's away form isn't great, but they have won 4 of the last 5 games they have played. Last time around, Bayern scraped through for a 3-2 win at home, but I think they will be better this time round.
Shaktar Donetsk vs Arsenal
The odds for Arsenal to win are surprisingly long. Yes Arsenal has had a pretty tough couple of weeks, playing 2 games a week and mostly with their first 11. But last time round, Arsenal won 5:1 remember? Maybe Shaktar's home form is great, but that is the Ukrainian league, not EPL. I expect Arsenal to be too strong for the home side.
Good luck!

Football Betting Tips and Predictions - Barclays Premier League Weekend
30th October 2010
Another weekend of action packed BPL football. Let's dive straight into the tips.
Arsenal vs West Ham
Arsenal have strung together some really good wins, and with Fabregas and many others healthy and back in the team, they look unstoppable. I expect them to continue on this form against West Ham and Arsenal to win by 2 or more.
Manchester United vs Tottenham
Man Utd's woes are not over. They have not played well and nearly crashed out of the Carling Cup midweek. Against Tottenham they might find themselves in trouble. I smell another dramatic draw... Bet on Tottenham +1 for good odds.
Bolton vs Liverpool
Liverpool got a hard earned but well deserved win last week. Torres scored his first goal since the middle ages and that should do him some good. I think now the flood gates are opened and you will see him at his best again. Liverpool will piggyback off that win and should start to string some results together, starting with the lackluster Bolton team. Liverpool to Win.

Goodbye Paul The Octopus
26th October 2010
Paul the Octopus has died. The octopus became famous after it predicted the correct result of all but two of Germany's games during Euro 2008, failing to predict the defeats to Croatia and Spain.
At this summer's World Cup, he maintained a 100% record, getting all Germany's results right before opting for Spain to beat Netherlands in the final.
So much hype and media for an Octopus. What about my 100% picks? Haha.

Carling Cup Predictions & Tips
26th October 2010
A short tip on Carling Cup ties this week.
Newcastle vs Arsenal
Arsene Wenger said that he will field a strong team on Wednesday against Newcastle as most of his players need games. Arsenal typically will field a young team for Carling Cup ties, however this time round, the "young players" are no longer that young. Some players coming back from injury will need this game. So expect to see Walcott, Bendtner and maybe even Fabregas to feature. Eboue and Gibbs will probably start too, with Wilshere getting a place as he is still suspended for the EPL. Arsenal should win this game easily after a great performance against Man City. Arsenal by 2.
Wigan vs Swansea
Alright, Wigan isn't playing great, but they are doing okay. Rodallega has been consistent throughout the season and if he gets a start, they should win comfortably against Swansea. Surprisingly the odds are longer than I expected for Wigan which means it is a great return for the bet. Wigan to win by 1-2 goals.
Leicester vs West Brom
The Carling Cup for most teams is a chance at Silverware. West Brom has been playing well of late but they do not expect to challenge for the EPL, and neither a place in Europe. They would focus of trying to advance in cup ties and survive the EPL. I expect West Brom to go all out in taking on Leicester. West Brom to win.
Aston Villa vs Burnley
Aston Villa is another of those teams. They are not EPL title contenders, they would be happy to get a European spot, but their main chance of winning anything would be the Carling or FA Cups. I expect that Houllier will play a strong team and try to get their frontmen scoring again. Should be a high scoring game, Aston Villa by 2 or more.
Good luck!

Genting Texas Hold'em Poker Challenge 2 Review
26th October 2010
Last week I attended the Genting Texas Hold'em Poker Challenge 2 (Tournament) at the Genting Highlands Casino. There was a guaranteed USD 26,000 in prize money and I thought I went and tried it out.
First session was a group of 120 to eliminate 60 and the remaining players will advance to the "semi-finals". My first table had 7 players who did not know how to play the game! They kept asking who is the "banker", the only poker they have ever played was Caribbean Stud. We took about 30 minutes to play 3 hands because they didn't know the rules. Kept asking what's this, what's that.
First hand I had AQs and I knew since they were all newbies, I better play it slow. Flop was AA4, I still played passively, check calling until the river. River was a 7 and the guy bet like 1/3 the pot, I called. He had A7. I was very happy with my play because I was sure he will call my shove on the flop.
Second hand I had KQ off. I raised to 6x the BB and almost everybody called. (crazy...) Flop was T63 two clubs. I bluffed again with 6x BB, everyone folded until the last player. She tanked and said, I want to fold. 20 seconds later, she put in the chips. I was like...... NO, you said you folded. Since I was bluffing, I wanted a fold but she kept saying, I don't know the rules, I am changing my mind. Funny thing was, the rest of the table (except 2 other players) agreed with her. So I insisted on calling the tournament director. He enforced the rules and she had to fold. Phew.
I made in to the semi finals but the structure was too fast. I doubled my starting stack but still I only had 20 BBs. My undoing came when I had AK diamonds and I raised 2.5x BB. Player with 99 shoved to 6xBB. I had to call. I missed, and he doubled up. He was the eventual winner of the event by the way. I now only had 5 big blinds left. So every big hand I had, I shoved. Eventually my KT lost to AJ. I was out.
Overall, it was ok fun. Nice food and easy to play. However the structure was too fast and they were only interested in getting players to spend time and money in their casino rather than running a real poker tournament. Too many donkeys also spoil the game. If the structure were a little better, we could pick them off, but with super turbo speed, if you don't get lucky, you lose.
I probably won't return as there are much better tournaments elsewhere, but overall the experience was okay, since I won like $1000 from the casino. :)

Wayne Rooney: Should he stay or should he go?
21st October 2010
Wayne Rooney, you're such a schmuck. There I said it. He should go, go as far away as possible. Robbie Fowler said Rooney is considering Perth Glory, that's far enough.
Wayne cheats on his then fiancee, and with a 45 year old hooker, then cheats on her again when she was pregnant with their child?!? Now the cat is out of the bag, he has the balls to criticize his teammates when he is the one who has not performed. Ferguson was right to leave him on the sidelines. He even gave him face by faking the injury story instead of saying that he was ousted because of his off field antics.
I am sorry, the world has forgotten the stout goal scorer who sold out Everton at the first chance at a big club. He hurt us bad with a volley against Arsenal while still in Everton colours. I forget the importance of that game, but we lost because of it. You are/were a great striker, but you are suppose to be a role model too. I know footballers are not saints, but of all the sporting cheaters (Tiger Woods, John Terry, Ashley Cole, etc.) you are the one I hate most.
Congratulations Rooney, you have successfully undone all the good you have done for football and Manchester United. Good bye and good riddance.

European Champions League Mid week Predictions & Tips
18th October 2010
Another good week of betting tips. Yes, we tipped it here that Everton would beat Liverpool. No surprise to us. But we do wish the Reds all the best and hope that they will stay in Premiership football.
Arsenal vs Shaktar Donetsk
Eduardo returns to the Emirates and I think it would be quite an emotional game for him and some Arsenal players. He is a great guy and a great player but unfortunately he wasn't on form before he was sold. Arsenal had a good come from behind win in the weekend and might have Fabregas back. They should win this game comfortably. Arsenal by 2.
Manchester United vs Bursaspor
Another poor draw from Man Utd and with the issues surrounding Rooney, they really have their work cut out of them this season. However they need this win badly, not only from their European chances but also they need a lift in the team. I expect Ferguson to go all out and fire up the team. Quick goals should be expected. Man Utd to score in the first 15 minutes and to win by 2 or more.
Inter Milan vs Tottenham - UPSET OF THE WEEK
It is not hard to tip the in form teams or the favourites but this week like all weeks, we are tipping another upset. Inter Milan is strong have had their hiccups this season in Serie A. Tottenham on the other hand are playing well, with players coming into form. Draw or Tottenham to squeeze out a win.
Good luck!

Phil Ivey Coming to Macau!
18th October 2010
It has been confirmed that Phil Ivey, arguably the BEST poker player in the world is going to attend the APT in Macau this November.
Phil has 8 WSOP bracelets under his belt and has won over $13 million from live tournaments. According to online tracking websites, he has also won at least $20 million from online poker. He is the most feared poker player in the world at present and it is great news for Asian poker for him to show up. It is like Micheal Jordan or Lebron James coming to play at your High School basketball game. (no offense to APT, this comment is more about the age of Asian poker)
I am joining another big poker tournament in Asia this week. If I go deep and score a big cash, I will most certainly go to Macau and hopefully meet Ivey in person!

Barclays Premier League Weekend Predictions
15th October 2010
Here are the picks of the week. First of all, if you have a chance, maybe consider a bet on Liverpool to be relegated? The sale and controversy, the team is not gelling, some players may leave in January, whether they get docked points or not, it may be a good investment? Go here to bet on it: Liverpool Relegated
Arsenal vs Birmingham
Arsenal should have Fabregas back and they sorely need a win. At home they should be too strong for most oppositions. However, history is against them with Birmingham. Remember how Eduardo broke his leg against them? Kevin Philips equalizing in the last second a year later? HOWEVER, still I would go for Arsenal to win. Arsenal by 2 or more.
Fulham vs Tottenham
Fulham isn't the team they were last year. Tottenham are playing well at the moment, even away, I would go for the Spurs to win. Close win, Spurs by 1.
Newcastle vs Wigan
Well, Newcastle have not been playing consistently, neither has Wigan. This will be a tough match for both teams but I fancy the home team will eek through for a win. If not, you can consider a bet on a draw.
Everton vs Liverpool
OK, Liverpool win? Everton to win? Neither team are playing well. But with the distractions, I am sure all Liverpool players are affected in some way. Everton at home would have the edge. I think Everton will win.
Good luck!

Euro 2012 Qualifiers Tips and Predictions
12th October 2010
Alright, there will be some more Euro games tonight. Last weekend we hit 4 out of 4 of our tips, including the draw with Italy. That game 90% of punters probably took Italy to win. But they were lackluster and have been for a while now.
Liechtenstein vs Czech Republic
Liechten-who? It took me a few times to correctly spell the name. (no offense) Czech has been playing really well lately and Liechtenstein has traditionally been hammered for 4 goals or more. I expect the Czechs to do the same. This would be a great game for them to test out their offensive choices. Czechs to win by 3 or more.
Kazakhstan vs Germany
Like last weekend, the Germans are too strong, too fast. They won 3-0 in the weekend and I expect a similar scoreline this time around. Even away they still play strong enough to beat almost any opposition let alone the Kazakhs. Germany to win by 2 goals or more.
Scotland vs Spain
The Scots are not playing great football at the moment and Spain, what can we say, world champions, top world class footballers all round, Torres is a worry but otherwise they are pumping on all cylinders. Spain to win by a comfortable margin, 2 goals or more.
England vs Montenegro
Ok, England will win. Let's put it this way. They have to win. Rooney will not feature but the rest of them will be pumped up to win. Some new members of the team will be giving 110% to prove to the manager they are worthy of a national team place. At home, at Wembley, they will win comfortably. 2 goals or more.

PartyPoker Snowball $20000 Freeroll
8th October 2010
It's 2:30am, I played in the PartyPoker Snowball $20,000 Freeroll because I qualified for it last month. 8960 runners, first 1100 places were paid. It was a long tournament and especially for me, because I didn't get any sleep at all. By 6:16am, I was 2nd in chips with 31 players left.

I was thinking to myself, woohoo, not bad, a guaranteed $30 from a freeroll. I will take it. Then I got into the final table, still 2nd in chips, and then one by one they fell until there was only 4 and I was the small stack.
Did I run good? No. My Kings were cracked, my queens were cracked. I did not have a better hand than two pairs except once I made a flush. But to beat out 8958 players is not bad! I ended up finishing 3rd with a payday of USD 1026. Not bad.
I finished at 8:30am, no sleep at all and I have an interview this morning. Boy was I groggy, but it was well worth it. Tonight I am going to play the $50,000 Freeroll. Maybe I might get lucky again?

Euro 2012 Qualifiers Predictions
8th October 2010
The Barclays Premier League is on the international break. Most of the players are involved in the Euro 2012 qualifiers. So let's see if we can make some profit from the games.
Moldova vs Netherlands
Holland is too strong for Moldova, although they are playing away, it would still be an easy win for the Dutch. The odds are very short, so I suggest to go for Netherlands -2 for a 3 goal win.
Spain vs Lithuania
World Cup winners Spain take on Lithuania, again very short odds for Spain to win. Spain with their passing game will just dazzle the Lithuanians but whether they can finish off their chances will affect how many goals they win by. However I still think the Spaniards will crush their opponents. Go for Spain -2 or for fun, bet on Spain 4-0, 5-0.
Northern Ireland vs Italy
Anyone can tip the favourites to win. Although Northern Ireland on paper isn't as good as Italy, but Italy has been playing really poorly lately. Away from home, they are struggling to score and win. For really good long odds, go for Northern Ireland +1 or go for the draw.
Germany vs Turkey
The Germans are another team that are really on form. They couldn't stop scoring and one may think that they were unlucky not to progress to the World Cup final. Against Turkey at home, the Germans will be too strong. Expect the Germans to win by 2 goals or more.

Liverpool Sale!!!!
6th October 2010
No, this is not a shopping spree or news of upcoming low prices. Liverpool is being sold as we speak! Yay. Good bye Tom Hicks, good bye George Gillett, Hello John Henry. We say good bye to two Americans and welcome another. Hicks and Gillett, you will not walk alone, you can both walk together.
A club statement read: "I am delighted that we have been able to successfully conclude the sale process which has been thorough and extensive. The Board decided to accept NESV's proposal on the basis that it best met the criteria we set out originally for a suitable new owner. NESV's philosophy is all about winning and they have fully demonstrated that at Red Sox. We've met them in Boston, London and Liverpool over several weeks and I am immensely impressed with what they have achieved and with their vision for Liverpool Football Club. By removing the burden of acquisition debt, this offer allows us to focus on investment in the team. I am only disappointed that the owners have tried everything to prevent the deal from happening and that we need to go through legal proceedings in order to complete the sale."
Hopefully this can turn the team around. They can reinvigorate the players to win some games and they would have the funds to strengthen the team. The team looks like a bunch of demotivated, tired group. I am sure this will get them excited again.
As much as I am an Arsenal fan, I will support whoever plays against Chelsea. Liverpool have yet to play them this year and I need Liverpool to beat them! Go Reds!

Weekend Football / Soccer Tips
2nd October 2010
The weekend has come again, time for some English football betting tips.
Sunderland vs Manchester United
Alright, Sunderland did well against Arsenal to earn a point, Manchester United have drawn a lot of games lately and are not at top form. However I still fancy Man Utd to win this one. They did well against Valencia in midweek and they will take that to add to their confidence in this game. Manchester for a close win.
West Ham vs Fulham
West Ham finally scored their first points of the season, whereas Fulham hasn't shown the form of 2009. However I feel that West Ham got lucky to win last week and they still look like bottom of the table material. Fulham to win or bet on Fulham +1.
Liverpool vs Blackpool
This weekend we see the Hams (West Ham & Fulham) and the Pools (Liverpool and Blackpool) play each other. Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool. Sigh, you have disappointed me so far and made me lose a lot of money. Torres is not at his top form but can't blame him, so is the rest of the team. HOWEVER I still feel that Liverpool is too good for Blackpool. Maybe this win can recharge the Reds and get them going again? Liverpool -1.
Chelsea vs Arsenal
Biggest game of the week, possibly the year. What can I say, I hope and pray that Arsenal will win, but Chelsea is very strong. The key is whether Fabregas will play and whether he is 100% or not. At home, Chelsea is too strong for almost any team. Arsenal aren't playing great football at the moment either. It pains me to say this, but I think Chelsea will win this one comfortably. I hope not though.
It's late, 2:30am already. Anyway good luck! If you like my blog, please click to subscribe or follow through Facebook. Send it on to your friends too. Thanks.

Harry Redknapp "Red Nap"
30th September 2010
A few days ago Harry Redknapp said that Arsene Wenger has gone nuts. Well sorry Harry but I think you have gone nuts. Here is a picture of Harry and his beloved Arsenal.
I didn't take this picture but credit to the person who did. Great job! Redknapp caught Napping!
Enjoy this Arsenal fans. Great game last night by the way, well done Fabianski.

European Champions League Betting Tips and Predictions
28th September 2010
Alright, I will be the first to admit, this past weekend was a disaster. But who could imagine Chelsea and Arsenal losing, Liverpool and Manchester United drawing again? Let's put that aside and see how we can win back some money on the Champions League.
Partizan Belgrade vs Arsenal
Arsenal oh Arsenal, how badly you played this past Saturday. First goal, poor defending by Sagna, second goal, poor defending by Koscielny. But in past records, when Arsenal loses a game, they bounce straight back. Although playing away, they should come back firing. I expect a total turn around. Expect Arsenal to win by 2 goals or more.
Ajax vs AC Milan
Well, Ajax is a very strong team and Milan will be away. Actually from bookmakers, Ajax is favoured to win. But I feel that Milan will be too strong for them even on Ajax ground. Milan's experience in Europe would carry them through but it will be a close win. Milan to win by 1 goal.
Rubin Kazan vs Barcelona
Straight forward win by Barca? Well, let me remind you, last year, Rubin held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw at home and BEAT Barca at Camp Nou 2-1! So think again. Somehow Rubin Kazan knew how to handle the hottest team in the world. Will they repeat that again? Third time's a charm? For great odds and a nice story, go for Rubin Kazan +1. I suggest only betting a small amount for fun.
Valencia vs Manchester United
Valencia is doing well at the moment. Unfortunately we can't say the same about the Red Devils. It will be a tough ask to win away from home. Manchester United needs this win, and they will throw everything at it. But will they succeed? I am not putting money on it. However if you are like me and need a punt to enjoy a game, I suggest going for OVER 2.5 goals as this will be a high scoring game.
Side bet: Rangers vs Bursapor
I don't follow Scottish football and I have no idea who Bursapor is. But if you want good odds and possibly an easy win, I will say go for Rangers. Ranger drew Manchester United last time and if they win this match, they set themselves up for qualifying for the next round.
Good luck to you all, let's win some MONEY MONEY MONEY

English Premier League Predictions (This coming weekend)
24th September 2010
Alright guys, my big predictions of the weekend. LET'S MAKE SOME $$$$$$.
Manchester City vs Chelsea
Well, first big test for Chelsea and Ancelotti. They had a great season so far albeit their loss midweek in the league cup. Manchester City are suffering and problems with their defense. Who can stop the rampart Blues? Chelsea would be paying at least 2-1 to win this game, great odds for such an in form team. Expect Chelsea to win by 2-0 or better.
Liverpool vs Sunderland
Boo hoo, Liverpool is out of the League Cup, having another bad start to the year. BUT, they HAVE TO WIN this game. For the fans, for the club, for the manager. I think Steven Gerrard is ready to quit if they don't. It is either they will be demotivated and falter, but I think with Gerrard's leadership qualities, he will fire up the team to a win, and a convincing one.
Arsenal vs West Brom
Well, everyone knows I am an Arsenal fan by now. This should be a stroll in the park? Maybe not. Wilshere is great, but he is no Cesc. We will miss Cesc and his creativity, vision and leadership. However I expect Arsenal to win, but it won't be pretty. 1-0, 2-1 they will be made to sweat for it. Goal for Chamakh if you want better odds.
Newcastle vs Stoke City
Okay, Newcastle is back, pretty inconsistent so far but has notched some big kills in the past month. They are coming off a high by beating Chelsea and they will be very confident going into this game. At home, they should be able to handle Stoke, who by the way is not in great form. Newcastle to win by 2 goals.
Good luck guys. Please post your comments and I hope you all WIN!

English League Cup Review
23rd September 2010
So another round of the English League Cup is over. A quick review of the games.
Straight forward wins for Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester United. Arsenal should have won in 90 minutes as Kieran Gibbs was flagged offside when he was clearly on, and Robbie Keane who was offside but allowed to play on. Scunthorpe actually gave Man Utd a run for their money. The scoreline doesn't show it but Scunthorpe played well and actually had 29 shots at goal with 19 of them on target. Not too shabby.
Goodbye to Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Manchester City. Chelsea, maybe a case of over confidence, but also prioritizing their matches, you can forgive them for playing their 2nd stringers. Losing to a premiership side, and with big matches coming up, can't really fault them too much. Man City should win these games if they want to challenge for anything at all. Liverpool, tsk tsk, can't even beat Northampton. And Everton, can't kill off their game with Brentford. Early exits for these premiership teams.
As an Arsenal fan, this is good news for us. We have some depth this year with some of the youngsters not so "young" anymore. Some teenagers already have 20-30 games on their belt by now. As long as the team is fit, they should have a good run for the league cup. Might be a potential mouth watering final with Man Utd? Hmm...

Shut up Sam Allardyce!
20th September 2010
A few days ago Sam "Fatty" Allardyce criticized Arsene Wenger on his "influence" over referees. That's fine. Say whatever you want fatty. But when he went on and said:
"Arsene is seen as a sophisticated Frenchman while I'm just a rugged English centre-half from the Midlands with an accent to match, but is Arsene more advanced than me in terms of coaching? Not a chance. Does he use live fitness data on his players during games? Does he study sports psychology every day? Does he use sports science to the extent that I do? I doubt it."
Sammy, please. You think you have an earpiece stuck (it's not even wireless) on your ear every game, and you have an Ipad instead of a notebook you're more advanced that Wenger? What have you done to football? What have you won? Arsene Wenger has consistently kept Arsenal at the top end of the Premier League without any major signings, losing Thierry Henry, Viera, Hleb and playing 16-19 year olds. For the transformation of the likes of Fabregas, Wilshere, Walcott from teenagers into superstars, that is advanced enough I think.
"I'm not suited to Bolton or Blackburn," he said. "I would be more suited to Inter Milan or Real Madrid. It wouldn't be a problem for me to go and manage those clubs because I would win the double or the league every time."
Sammy, just because you are jobless, broke and overweight doesn't mean that you can go around and making silly claims. Yes, now we've noticed you, thanks but still, no thanks. You think by attacking a French manager the English FA will pay attention to you? Yelling out big names like Inter or Madrid they will be impressed? If you want a job, get a better agent, and offer him some "bungs".
SHUT UP SAM ALLARDYCE! Thank you.

Phil Laak wins first WSOPE bracelet
17th September 2010
Congrats to Phil Laak (Unabomber), who happens to be one of my favorite poker players on winning his first WSOPE bracelet and pocketing more than £176k. (nice chunk of change) Won with a sick hand too, K5. Well done! I am sure this is the first of many. Looks like Phil did a Ted Forrest too (lost weight).

Liverpool WILL beat Manchester United this SUNDAY!!!!
17th September 2010
I'm BACK...........
Biggest match in Manchester's season so far. Mark my words, LIVERPOOL will win!
OK, this is still a long shot, no offense to Liverpool fans, but we all know the might of the Red Devils. However Man Utd have been a bit gun-shy lately and will Rooney's off field antics, and the departure of Rafa Benitez (Rafa who?) Liverpool really stands a chance!
Man Utd, drawn Fulham, drawn Everton, drawn Rangers.... not very convincing form.
Liverpool on the other hand hasn't had the best of forms either, but this is a close a chance of beating Man Utd that it has. Go to http://www.bet365.com/home/?affiliate=365_038920 to make a bet on it NOW!
For a SURE BET, go for ARSENAL to beat Sunderland. Fabregas is back, and he is in great form, scoring 2 goals and creating 2 more in midweek. Chamakh is doing really well, I can't see them losing this game. It will be a big win like 3-0 or 4-0.
Good luck! Till next time...
I'm BACK...........
Biggest match in Manchester's season so far. Mark my words, LIVERPOOL will win!

Poker In Manila
8th September 2010
Another long time since my last post. I was in Manila playing poker. It was fun but too bad I didn't much of a profit. I got bad beat by really stupid fishes but I feel good that I played well. I lost 2 big pots that I was 70-80% favorite when I went all in.
First has was against a really rich guy, who plays like USD 10,000 per hand on Bacarrat. He comes to the poker table to have fun and socialise. Flop was 4s 7d 8s. He pushed all in with Q8 off. I had 7s 5s (straight flush draw with a pair) I was 70+% favourite. But I missed all my 17 outs.
Then the other time I played against a really fishy player who would go all in with 89 suited preflop etc. This time flop was 5 6 7 one heart. I had 55 for the bottom set. He had 3h7h for the top pair and gut shot. But the lucker hit runner runner hearts for the flush. I was 80% favourite. Damn.
But otherwise I had fun. The food was great, the massage (no hanky panky) was super cheap and nice. It is still a very unsafe place and I felt that some one tried to kidnap me at one point. I do not recommend traveling alone there especially if you are female.

Champions League Quarter Final Review - Watch Robben's super goal HERE!
8th April 2010
What a season this has turned out to be. La Liga and the EPL has been the closest in many years and the Champions League semifinals will be without any English teams.
We will start with the obvious ones. Like I predicted, Inter cruised through to the semifinal. Lyon managed to hang on to progress as well.
Arsenal was clearly outclassed by Barcelona, however they had a chance of turning the game around. At 1:0, had Diaby slipped the wide open Walcott through, it might have been a totally different result. Messi did not do much at the Emirates Stadium, but at home he was crazy. Once Barca hit back so quickly, it killed Arsenal's confidence and they never looked to have a chance.
But what about Manchester United and Bayern Munich? Bayern has certainly taken revenge on the heartbreak in 1999. Now Scholes, Giggs and Neville knows how it felt then. Manchester United played really well and too bad fell to a good goal from Olic and a super goal from Robben.
Manchester United 3 - 2 Bayern Munich
Uploaded by nongcream7. - Basketball, baseball, pro wrestling and more sports videos.
In my opinion we shall see Bayern vs Barcelona in the final and Barcelona will prevail and defend their Champions League crown.

European Champions League Quarter Finals (Predictions and Tips)
30th March 2010
First of all, Bayern Munich take on Manchester United. This is a huge clash and in my opinion an even match despite the bookmakers favoring the away team. I think it is hugely based on reputation rather than true form. Don't get me wrong, Manchester United is running hot at the moment, but so is Bayern.
Bayern has won 9 of 10 of their last home games. Manchester on the other hand has not done very well away, winning 50% of their last 10. This is a huge clash and I think Man Utd would be happy to take a scoring draw. (i.e. 1-1, 2-2) Interesting stat is that these two teams have drawn 4 times the last 4 times they met. I would go for the draw for great odds and a highly probable result. 3.25@BET365
I would give the Lyon vs Bordeaux game a miss because it doesn't interest me. It is really difficult to tip these games where teams of the same league play each other in a European game. Lyon has the upper hand in home advantage but Bordeaux is top of the French Ligue.
Inter Milan face the underdogs CSKA Moscow and I am sure Mourinho would want to end the tie at home. Expect Inter to come out attacking and probably winning by 3 or 4 goals. Inter win 1.40@BET365 is still a decent return at 40%. For longer odds, go for Inter -1.
Lastly is Arsenal facing the mighty Barcelona. Being an Arsenal fan, I obviously would want them to win. However we all know the task is going to be very tough. Arsenal will likely be without Fabregas who they need sorely. Arshavin is not playing as well as he could and Bentdner alone is not going to trouble the Barca defense too much. However in saying that, Barcelona would be happy with a scoring draw and winning the tie at home. I expect Arsenal to defend and counter attack, maybe employing Walcott and Nasri on the wings and making long runs, or Eboue at right for his defensive qualities. Personally I like the draw, but Barcelona will win if Messi does his thing. Your choice.
SUMMARY:
Bayern vs Manchester United: DRAW
Inter Milan vs CSKA Moscow: INTER WIN, INTER-1
Arsenal vs Barcelona: Draw or Barcelona Win
Good luck

English Premier League Predictions (Saturday)
26th March 2010
Interesting games this week. The season is coming to its end and now every game counts. Every result will change the course of who wins, who gets relegated.
First game of the Saturday is the surprise team of the season, Birmingham, facing Arsenal the title contenders. Birmingham had strung some good results together but recent form has been poor. Arsenal will have Fabregas back and should prove too strong for Birmingham. Arsenal win 1.53@BET365 is a good return.
Everton has been doing really well lately and is making a late push for 4th spot. They would want to extend that run at Wolverhampton. Wolves have been inconsistent throughout the season and should drop points against Everton. Everton away win 2.10@BET365 is excellent value.
SUMMARY
Birmingham vs Arsenal: Arsenal away WIN
Wolves vs Everton: Everton away WIN

Annette Obrestad vs Doyle Brunson
25th March 2010
Recently I was going through the videos from WSOPE 2009 and I heard Annette Obrestad made a comment that she has more experience playing poker than Doyle Brunson. Her reasoning is that she plays 300 hands an hour online, and Doyle plays 30 hands an hour live.
Who the heck is Annette Obrestad?
She is Norwegian, 21 years old, plays poker and won the 2007 WSOPE. As of 2009[update], her total live tournament winnings exceed $2,700,000, most of which, $1,960,000, is accounted for from her only WSOPE cash. She has won some tournaments online and has been playing since she was 15 (illegal in most countries). In 2009 she led the European team in winning the Caesars Cup beating the Americas team. However she was rude and obnoxious and later followed up by saying that she is more experienced than Doyle Brunson in the WSOPE Main Event interview.
Who the heck is Doyle Brunson? (Where the heck have you been if you don't know!)
He is American, 67 years old, called the Big Papa, legend of poker. He is a poker hall of fame inductee and has won 11 WSOP bracelets so far. He has been playing poker for over 50 years and as of 2009, his total live tournament winnings exceeded $5,800,000. He has wrote 7 poker books, most of them best sellers, always with a smile and always with class.
So Annette has been playing 300 hands per hour for 6 years, Doyle has been playing 30 hands per hour for 50 years. Does that make Annette the more experienced one because she has played more hands? Doyle might say, "Good for her", but in my opinion, she is just a brat who thinks too much of herself and should keep her mouth shut. Phil Helmuth maybe the poker brat, but he has won 12 bracelets and cashed in most WSOP tourneys. But who the heck is Obrestad? If you want to talk about hands played, what about Phil Ivey who plays Live and Online and has won over 10 million in live tourneys and much more from cash games. But you don't see Ivey talking shit about Brunson.
Shut up Annette and grow up.

Who will win the Barclay's Premier League this season?
22nd March 2010
Both Arsenal and Manchester United won their games this week and Chelsea drawing theirs. This season's race is as wide open and a 3-horse-race, something we haven't seen in many years now. Both Arsenal and Manchester United have 7 more games to go, and Chelsea has 8.
Manchester United, 2 points clear of Arsenal, 4 points ahead of Chelsea are obviously the favorites now. As long as they win all their games, they will win the Premiership. However it is not as easy as that. In recent weeks they have not been entirely convincing and some would say got a lucky win over Liverpool yesterday. They still have to face Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham in their last 7 games. However playing at home against Chelsea would give them a huge upper hand.
Chance of winning: 55%
Chelsea was leading for a long time in the season. However lately they have not performed to their best potential. Crashing out of all competitions and drawing at Blackburn has really hurt their confidence. Now they have to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford to have any chance. They also have to face Aston Villa (albeit not in good form) and Liverpool.
Chance of winning: 30%
Arsenal only 2 points behind Manchester United, and seemingly the easiest of fixtures coming up. How they wish Liverpool could hold Manchester to a point but now it comes down to Chelsea doing them a favor by beating Manchester United or drawing. Arsenal however still have to face Tottenham and Manchester City and with Vermaelen suspended and Gallas still injured, they will have defensive difficulties. However they still have an outside chance of winning.
Chance of winning: 25%

European Champions League Quarter Final and Semi Final Draw
March 19th 2010
The Quarter Final and Semi Final draws are out. What do you think? Who has the easiest route? Who faces the biggest challenge?
Lyon faces Bordeaux in an all French affair. They should be quite happy about it. They know their opponents well and all the other teams, I think they much prefer to meet their French opponent.
Bayern Munich will face Manchester United. With Chelsea out of the Champions League, they will have more time to focus on the Premier League whilst Manchester United have to keep an eye on both competitions. Bayern is a good team on their day with dangerman Robben on form. But Manchester much rather face the Germans than the likes of Barcelona.
Speaking of which, they are drawn with Arsenal. This is a mouth watering match up with both teams playing the most entertaining and sometimes art form like football in the world. As much as I love Arsenal, I fear for them as Barca is definitely the team to beat in the competition. However I still remember how they ran over Real Madrid, Bayern etc in 2006 to reach the final. Regardless, this is the match up to watch.
Finally Inter after having beaten Chelsea must be feeling really good about themselves. They draw first time quarter finalists CSKA. CSKA must be one of the underdogs in this competition so Mourinho should feel quite confident about the draw.
As far as Semi finals go, Manchester United seem to have the best draw (assuming they can get past Bayern) because the winner of their quarter final will face the winner of the French duel. Inter should progress but would be faced with either Arsenal or Barcelona.
My prediction, Manchester United will face Arsenal or Barcelona in the final. The clash of the 2006 finalists is too close to call, with a moment of brilliance from Messi or Fabregas could change the entire outcome.
Enjoy...

Barclays Premier League Tips and Predictions (Saturday)
13th March 2010
Last round of tipping was amazing, I went 5 out of 5 for a 100% record. I hope you read it and bet on at least some of the games. This week I hope to continue on with the streak and bring you some value bets, bets that pay over 1.50 in odds.
First of we go to Birmingham. Birmingham has been playing really well this season, albeit their last few results have been tough and scrappy. They face Everton that came off a 5-1 win and a very in form Arteta. Everton has a very poor away record but recently they have won against Manchester United and Chelsea in close succession. Birmingham has played well at home, but their form has been inconsistent, alternating between winning and losing in their last 7 games. If that pattern continues, they would lose again tonight. For value, I would go for Everton to win 2.40@BET365. Great odds for an in form team.
Stoke will play Aston Villa and the Villains have been on good form lately. They showed tremendous character come from behind and beating Reading in their last game. However you must fault them for giving Reading the lead in the first place. However they will be too strong for Stoke and Villa to win 2.25@BET365 is such a yummy payout that we can't miss.
Finally Hull City vs Arsenal. Arsenal coming off a 4 game winning streak including a 5-0 drubbing of Porto midweek. Hull City coming of a drubbing by the hands of Everton 5-1 last weekend. The only saving grace for Hull is that Fabregas will not be playing. But you have seen how Arsenal can still dominate without their leader, and every game from here is a must-win for the Gunners if they want to challenge for the Premiership. Arsenal to win 1.40@BET365 or win -1 2.20@BET365 are really good value.

SUMMARY:
Birmingham vs Everton: Everton AWAY WIN
Stoke vs Aston Villa: Aston Villa AWAY WIN
Hull vs Arsenal: Arsenal AWAY WIN, Arsenal -1 AWAY WIN
Good luck!

Phil Ivey goes vegan for a $1,000,000 bet
9th March 2010
On High Stakes Poker last night (episode 3), Phil Ivey got into a bet with Tom "Durrrr" Dwan to not eat meat for an entire year. Tom initially wanted to make it $500,000 but that was too "low" for Ivey. Ivey countered with 1.5 million to make it worth his while to persist with the bet.
Both parties later agreed that it would be a cool million to the victor and either party can buy-out the bet at any time during the 12 months. Good luck to both of them.
Gus Hansen joked about a celibacy bet, but please... Gus.... I doubt he would last a month...
I only wish someone to make these kinds of bets with me and I would be rich. To be honest I rather go 1 year without something than work 20 years and still not get the same amount of money....
On a side note, there is a lot of trust and integrity between poker players. Phil Ivey can sneak in some steaks at home and Tom Dwan doesn't even have to know about it. For a game where deception and tricks play such a big role, these guys would have to be very honest to make such a big bet valid.

Carling Cup Final and Barclays Premier League Predictions (Sunday)
28th February 2010
Yesterday was a great day as all of my tips hit, including Man City's upset against Chelsea. Today we have a mouth watering final and some Premier League games.
Aston Villa face Manchester United in the Carling Cup final. I would give the advantage to the Red Devils according to their form and experience in cup finals. Manchester United to win at 1.83@BET365 is a good return. Be ready to see Rooney torment the Villain defense.
As far as the premiership goes, tonight we see the Hotspurs at home playing Everton. Both teams have shown signs of form but they are neither consistent. However one thing that is consistent is that they both often score lots of goals. So therefore OVER 2.5 goals at 1.95@BET365 is a good bet.
SUMMARY:
Aston Villa vs Manchester United (Carling Cup Final): Man Utd WIN
Tottenham vs Everton: OVER 2.5 goals
Good luck!

Speedy Recovery to Aaron Ramsey
27th February 2010
A great day of tipping, 3 out of 3. Chelsea losing and Arsenal winning. Unfortunately the sour note of the night is the horrendous injury to young Aaron Ramsey. This post is for him and wishing him a speedy recovery. He is a great player with tremendous potential for Arsenal and Wales. We only hope that he will return to the pitch as soon as possible.
Well done to the Gunners as they turned the game around. Just when they looked like running away with the game, they were hit with Ramsey's injury. You can see the emotion in their eyes, bringing back memories of Eduardo's incident. But then they never gave up and you can see how much the win means to them. I am sure emotionally it struck a chord and I hope that fire and desire to win will continue on.
Our prayers go out to you Aaron, don't give up and stay strong. God bless.

Barclays Premier League Predictions (Saturday)
27th February 2010
It has been a while since I last shared any tips. About time to start making some money again. This weekend we see Chelsea in a big game against Man City. Chelsea is the on form team and they have the EPL in their hands. As long as they win all their games, they will win. However it is not an easy back end for them. With Man Utd, Liverpool still to come. So every game is very important. If any team can upset the leaders, Man City has a good chance. However their form is not very convincing lately. Adebayor is suspended, but that might not be a bad thing. He has not been performing and a Tevez - Bellamy combo seems more lethal. I would personally AVOID this game but if you really want to bet, as a die-hard Arsenal fan, I would go for Man City +1 2.25@BET365.
Birmingham has been surprising people all season, and their form has been quite consistent. Although they haven't beaten some big names yet, but against weaker teams, they have taken full advantage. So at home against Wigan 1.90@BET365, that is a yummy proposition.
Finally Stoke against Arsenal. Arsenal may still be behind in the league race, but they have the easiest of games in the last stretch. Most of their opponents are on the bottom half of the table, so anything is still possible. Although I want them to win, i think they will fall short and finish a valiant second. Stoke however recently has punished Arsenal at home on 2 occasions. For some reason Arsenal just doesn't do well against them. However considering the importance of winning every game, Arsenal will step up and win this one easily. Arsenal to win 1.70@BET365.
SUMMARY:
Chelsea vs Man City: AVOID or Man City +1
Birmingham vs Wigan: Birmingham HOME Win
Stoke vs Arsenal: Arsenal AWAY Win
Good luck!

Poker Trip
11th February 2010
Sorry for not posting for so long. I was away for two weeks, and during this time I played poker almost every night for 6-8 hours. Overall I won a little bit, but there was one tournament that I played in, I was so close to winning it big.
The buy in was $2000, with one re-buy and add-on. By the time of the first break, I had about 10k in chips, chip average was about 20k. But I decided not to add-on. I continued on with my stack, winning pot after pot, made some good lay downs and got into the final table. The 10th guy got out because he was playing stupid and was possibly a bit drunk.
Blinds were 2k/4k. UTG raise to 10k. I was next to act, I looked down at my pocket Jacks. Yummy. I had about 30k total, so I min raised to 20k. Everyone folded until the button. The guy pushed all-in! UTG folded, and I had to call with my last 10k. He flipped over pocket sevens! I was thinking, what did this idiot thought I had? I three-betted on 2nd UTG position with 2/3 my stack.
Flop was 10 6 8.... the bastard now has 6 outs.
Turn was a K... apparently UTG folded AK
River.....river was so sick, so so sick, he caught a 9 for a four card straight!
I was out at 9th place. Had I won that hand, I would be sitting at 70k chips, 3rd chip leader with a table full of short stacks. First place paid 60k, then followed by 36k, 24k, 18k and 12k. That idiot went on to finish fourth and I can only replay in my head how I could have lost a 80% hand.

English FA Cup Betting Predictions
23rd January 2010
Tomorrow I head out on a 2 week Poker trip but I won't be lugging my laptop there. So I will update you guys when I get back. So before I leave, I hope to give you guys some good tips to help you win some money. FA Cup seems a straightforward place to make some money.
Preston vs Chelsea is a straightforward enough match. We know that Chelsea will field some of their rotation players and we also know that there is bound to be upsets in the FA Cup. However since Chelsea is out of the Carling Cup, they will not want to lose this match. Chelsea -1 1.75@BET365 is great value.
I still favor Arsenal after their recent results and a great comeback win against Bolton midweek. Arsenal away win at 1.83@BET365 is pretty juicy. However they might rest some key players with so many important games coming up against Villa, United and Chelsea.
The upset of the week might be Tottenham vs Leeds. Leeds beat Manchester United in superb fashion, and the Spurs haven't been firing lately. Leeds to win at 9.00@BET365 seems a long shot, but it is worth a punt. Or at least go with Leeds +1 3.25@BET365.
SUMMARY:
Preston vs Chelsea : Chelsea -1
Stoke vs Arsenal : Arsenal WIN
Tottenham vs Leeds : Leeds +1 or Leeds WIN
Good luck!

English Barclays Premier League Predictions
16th January 2010
After a short absence, I am back. Ready to share with you some of my winning tips. I hope you if you like my blog, you would support it by referring it to your friends or join some of my sponsored links. They are all FREE to join.
To start off, Stoke City vs Liverpool. Liverpool is in real trouble. Rafa Benitez is in real trouble. If Liverpool doesn't win this game, I am sure Rafa will be out. But how well will Rafa rally his troops I do not know. I don't know whether he still commands the respect he needs in the club. I am tempted to side with Stoke for this game, but I think Liverpool will pull off an unconvincing win. Now I must warn you, this is a long shot, but worth a shot if you are ahead in your punting. Liverpool -1 to DRAW (meaning Liverpool to win by exactly one goal) It pays a whopping 4.00@BET365.
Birmingham is the surprise team of the year. They had an amazing run in December and it should continue on when they face Portsmouth. Portsmouth players are on their way out, jumping from a sinking ship. I would back Birmingham to win outright. 2.60@BET365
Finally some Sunday soccer action. My favourite team, Arsenal should be back on track, with Fabregas possibly returning for this game against an lack lustre Bolton side. Arsenal to win 1.53@BET365

Poker Site Review - Mansion Poker
January 9th
Happy New Year everyone. I thought I wrote a review of Mansion Poker. Recently I have had some really poor experiences at Mansion Poker and I would like to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND Mansion Poker for your online poker needs.
Software & Graphics (8): Software wise it is pretty good. The layout is simple, good filtering system, easy to review your previous hands.
Game traffic (6): They are lucky that they are on Ipoker, if not I am sure they would not survive. However the traffic is not 24 hours. There is a quiet window when the European players are in bed. Most of the good tourneys are all suited to the European time zones.
Bonus (3): They offer a high sign up bonus, however it is set at a ridiculous rate that unless you play way above the level your bank roll allows, it is impossible to clear. Otherwise you would have deposited a lot more and playing such high stakes you won't care about the few hundred in bonuses.
Extras (2): They do not have rakeback but have a points system which is extremely complicated. There are "earned points" and "unearned points", etc. Don't ask me, even I do not understand.
Support (7): The support team is quite responsive and very polite all the time. But the policies are the problem so nothing they can do about it.
Anyway, I had some bad experiences there with claiming my bonuses and it has been extremely frustrating without any resolution. I do not recommend this site. I have seen better. Good luck
