English Premier League Predictions (Saturday)

31st October 2009

October has not been a very good month, with a lot of upset results and teams that play well end up losing. This weekend there looks to be some straight forward results, but considering the outcomes of the past week, I dare not make any assumptions. However there are two games that has a lot of value and definitely worth a punt.

Portsmouth has been struggling all season both on the pitch and in the board room. The only saving grace is that James is playing well at goalkeep. Wigan on the other hand is not a so-called form team, but on paper they look a much better team than Portsmouth. Wigan +1 handicap win looks very tempting at 1.53@BET365.

Everton has also been disappointing this campaign. Although at home, facing Aston Villa is a tough task. Villa has not been scoring freely this season but they are more than capable pulling an away win at Goodison Park. Villa away win at 2.80@BET365 looks to be a very good value bet for an upset win. Or I would recommend the less risky Villa +1 1.44@BET365.

SUMMARY:
Portsmouth vs Wigan : Wigan +1 handicap WIN
Everton vs Villa : Villa +1 handicap WIN, or Villa AWAY WIN

Good luck!

English Football Predictions (Sunday)

25th October 2009

Terrible outcome for Saturday. Aston Villa should have won the game if not for the late penalty, and Tottenham had so many chances that missed or saved or hit the post. Stoke City had one opportunity but they made it count.

This week has been a week of upsets and it has made betting really difficult. Sometimes you have days or weeks like this, the best thing to do is to cool off and take a break. Many punters make the mistake of trying to recover their losses by making uncalculated risks and bets during this time. Everyone experience a losing streak once in a while, and when you do, lower your bet sizes and decrease your betting frequency. Once you get some momentum again, then you raise it up. You can get winning streak just as easy as you get a losing one. Nothing worse than losing your entire bankroll (betting capital) in a losing streak and have no way of winning it back.

Sunday sees the match of the week, Liverpool vs Manchester United. United is definitely the slight favourite to win paying at 2.40@BET365. Liverpool needs to win this game more than anything else but it would really tough. However considering the recent swing of events, I would avoid betting on this game. Manchester United will miss Wayne Rooney and this game really can go either way. Your best bet for this Sunday is Arsenal away win at Upton Park (Westham). At 1.50@BET365, it is pretty good odds for a team at the top end of the table facing the opposite end. Arsenal had a disappointing draw in mid-week, but they should bounce back with a win here. If you want a better return, Arsenal -1 may seem a bit risky, but it pays a nice 2.40@BET365.

SUMMARY:
Liverpool vs Manchester United - AVOID if possible, if not Manchester United Away WIN
Westham vs Arsenal - Arsenal away WIN or for a higher return but higher risk Arsenal -1 handicap WIN

Break a leg! :)

English Premier League Picks (Saturday)

24th October 2009

Weekend again and I love to tip the EPL games. This Saturday we will kick off with Wolves vs Villa. Wolves has not been playing well nor adapting to the Premier League, Villa however just had a morale boosting win over Chelsea last week. Villa away win paying at 2.10@BET365 is amazing value!

Another game featuring a form team against a weak team is Tottenham vs Stoke. Tottenham has been doing really well, even though Stoke did put in a series of good results as well. However Robert Huth has been suspended and Stoke will miss his defensive skills. With Tottenham's strike force running rampant, they should win this game especially at home. Tottenham home win 1.44@BET365.

Obviously the biggest game of the weekend is Liverpool vs Man Utd, but since they are playing on Sunday, I will give you my predictions tomorrow.

SUMMARY:
Wolves vs Villa - Villa Away WIN
Tottenham vs Stoke - Tottenham Home WIN

Good luck!

European Champions League Predictions (Wednesday)

21st October 2009

What a killer Tuesday. Arsenal and Inter both drawing their games they should have won, Lyon beating Liverpool at Anfield, Barcelona losing at home to Rubin Kazan, Rangers crushed by Unirea Urziceni.... bad day for football punters.

Anyway let's try to recoup some of the losses with the Wednesday games. I am a bit rocked by the results on Tuesday night so I will try to keep to a few games today.

1. CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United - CSKA at home will be tough for United. However the Devils are on good playing form recently. They may be missing Rooney but they are a strong team. I do not feel 100% confident about tipping them but at 2.20@BET365, it is GREAT value for money.

2. FC Porto vs APOEL - Porto at home against APOEL from Cyprus. Porto really needs to win and to win well. They have been really impressive of late playing at home with 9 wins from their last 10 home games. APOEL may have managed a draw with Athletico Madrid but they should find it hard to beat Porto at home. FC Porto -1 pays 1.80@BET365 is a good bet.

SUMMARY
1. CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United - Manchester United AWAY WIN (worth a punt for the value)
2. FC Porto vs APOEL - FC Porto -1

Good luck

European Champions League Football Predictions

19th October 2009

My tips on Arsenal and Tottenham for the weekend were spot on. However I know my prediction on Liverpool was off, but Darren Bent personally could have made it 3-4 goals and Liverpool missed some very good chances.

Midweek European action is back and this should be another good time to pick up some profits. Liverpool vs Lyon is the game to avoid however if you feel like a punt, maybe Lyon +1 is worth a shot! Liverpool played really poorly these last few games and they really miss Gerrard, Torres and even Alonzo.

Again I am tipping the hot team Arsenal who will be away to AZ Alkmaar. This although is an away fixture for the Gunners, but they have done well so far and have been on form, especially on the scoring front.

1. Arsenal WIN 1.50@BET365
This should be a straightforward win for Arsenal as they look to tie up the group as soon as possible. Almost everyone on their starting lineup has scored and they look dangerous in attack. 50% return is very decent for a form team.

2. Arsenal -1 2.60@BET365
The last time these 2 teams met, Arsenal won 3:0 despite being the away team. The way Arsenal has been playing in attack, this should be a great value bet.

3. AZ Alkmaar vs Arsenal goal line OVER 2.5 goals 1.75@BET365
Either Arsenal will win by 2 goals or more if not, then it is because Alkmaar scored 1 goal. So to cover your bet on Arsenal -1, the bet on OVER 2.5 goals is an insurance bet.

You may say enough about Arsenal, but in fact this time round the other games are too risky. Barcelona has not been playing well, even though they should win this time round. Inter's form has also been poor. Both games do not offer much value unless they win by 2 goals or more, which is risky considering their recent performances.

SUMMARY
1. AZ Alkmaar vs Arsenal - Arsenal Away WIN
2. AZ Alkmaar vs Arsenal - Arsenal -1
3. AZ Alkmaar vs Arsenal - Over 2.5 goals

Good luck!

English Premier League Predictions (Saturday)

16th October 2009

Ukraine and France both won convincingly as per my predictions midweek. However Slovenia missed 4 great chances and hit the post once to only win by 3:0. However if you bet on all 3 tips, you should have a positive return.

This weekend the EPL is back again. A lot of the EPL stars were involved in the international matches, but some were not used and had a good week's rest. The biggest game on Saturday is obviously the opener Aston Villa vs Chelsea. But this game is too close to call. I would avoid betting on it if I were you. But still there leaves us a lot of opportunities to make some money.

1. Arsenal vs Birmingham - Arsenal usually plays very well at home, and in fact they have won their last 9 home games. This is an emotional game for a lot of Arsenal fans because the last time they met, it was the fateful game that Eduardo got badly injured. Arsenal has been scoring a lot of goals, and Arsenal -1 at 1.53@BET365 is an attractive bet.

2. Portsmouth vs Tottenham - Portsmouth may have won their last EPL game, but it was against the lowly Wolves. James played really well against Ukraine but you would feel that with Tottenham's firepower and Portsmouths lack of form, this should be a straightforward win for Spurs. Tottenham to Win 1.83@BET365.

3. Sunderland vs Liverpool - Sunderland has proven to be the surprise team so far and Liverpool - the dissappointment. However this is a must win game for Liverpool if they want to challenge for the title or even a Champions League place. If you feel like gambling, go for Liverpool Win for 1.90@BET365 because you will not see this kind of odds for Liverpool vs Sunderland in a long time. However an alternative bet that seems safer and still a lot of value is the goal line to be OVER 2.5 goals payout 1.875@BET365. Liverpool has conceded a lot of goals and judging by both teams' performances, this should be a high scoring game.

SUMMARY:
Arsenal vs Birmingham - Arsenal -1
Portsmouth vs Tottenham - Tottenham Away WIN
Sunderland vs Liverpool - Liverpool Away WIN, Goal line OVER 2.5 goals

Good luck

People Who Pay Money for Fake Chips Are Idiots!

16th October 2009

Thanks to Facebook, there has been a sudden surge of Poker players. Over 18 million people use the Zynga Poker application on Facebook and some people suddenly decided to start selling these "fake chips". I say fake chips because they have no monetary value at all. They are just "play money".

Why would anyone pay $80 for 1.2 million in play money chips when you can use that $80 in a real poker site and turn it into $160, $320 and even more? That is just stupid! The program is flawed, it has no monetary value, so many hackers and bots, the best hand ends up losing sometimes, free chips are handed out sometimes.... I don't understand how come there are so many dumb people playing a game that actually requires brain activity!

Why would anyone play for fake chips let alone BUY them when sites like Pokerstrategy are offering:
- FREE poker tips and strategies
- FREE videos to help you improve your game
- FREE USD $150 REAL MONEY for you to start off your poker career

online poker

Don't be an idiot. If you have money, then give it to me, or play poker online! Go to FULL TILT or BET365 for instance and they will give you up to $500-600 in bonuses.

Sigh....idiots with money....

World Cup Qualifying Predictions

12th October 2009

Last weekend I had a lot of success predicting the soccer games. I advised punters to avoid the England game and turned out Ukraine managed a win. Portugal and Switzerland both won 3:0 paying 1.53 and 2.10 respectively. This Wednesday there is another series of qualifiers.

OVERALL TIPS
- Avoid teams that have already qualified
- Avoid matches where neither team can qualify

You are then left with a few games that should be quite straight forward.

1. San Marino vs Slovenia - This should be another wipeout. San Marino has conceded 44 goals in 9 games, Slovenia on the other hand need a big win to make sure they qualify. Slovenia -3 may seem risky for some, but it should be just another easy win.

2. Andorra vs Ukraine - Ukraine managed a win over England and can qualify at the expense of the Croatians if they win at Andorra. This should be a mere formality as Andorra has condeded 33 goals in 9 games and in their last meeting, Ukraine won 5:0. Go for Ukraine -2.

3. France vs Austria - This is a tough game on paper, but to the French, this is a must win game. Go for the French to Win (1.30@bet365) or France -1 Asian Handicap (1.375@bet365) so if France wins by 1 goal, you get your money back. If they win by more than 1 goal, you get paid.

Good luck

Football Predictions (Saturday)

9th October 2009

Weekend is here again, this week it is the World Cup Qualifiers. Most football fans follow the EPL therefore they follow England too. This Saturday it is England playing in Ukraine. Will England having secured qualification, and playing in away in cold Ukraine, this is the match to AVOID! You would think England should win this game considering their form, but Capello maybe trying out some new combinations, fielding players other than his normal 11, testing some set plays. To England, this may just be like a friendly match. Ukraine on the other hand is only 2 points behind Croatia and can vault into 2nd place if they beat England. So you would think Ukraine is worth a punt? This game is too difficult to call.

France might be facing the lowly Faroe Islands and some may think the handicap is a good bet. The French have a tendency to score less goals than expected. Even against significantly weaker teams, they often just win by 1 goal. I say AVOID this match as well.

So what should you bet on? Luxemborg vs Switzerland. Some sites are offering Switzerland -1 at 1.45 or the Asian handicap -2, -2.5 at 2.10@Bet365. Switzerland should win by 2 goals easily. If you have the option go for the -1.

Another handicap worth betting on is Portugal vs Hungary. Portugal is desperate for a win and at home, they should will well. Portugal -1 at 1.53@Bet365 is a juicy addition to any combo bets or a 53% return is pretty decent for any bet.

Summary:
Ukraine vs England - AVOID
France vs Faroe Islands - AVOID
Luxemborg vs Switzerland - Switzerland -1, or Switzerland -2, -2.5
Portugal vs Hungary - Portugal -1 (BEST BET)

Good luck

Monday Prediction

October 5th 2009

Thanks to Peter Crouch missing at least 3-4 sitters, Tottenham unfortunately did not win on the weekend. However my side bet prediction still paid out at a decent 1.72. Torres had a great chance of bringing Liverpool level and for a long time, a draw seemed to be on the cards, but sadly they conceded a soft 2nd goal and Benayoun should have scored at the end but he didn't.

Anyway, brings us to the Monday clash between Aston Villa and Manchester City. Everyone has been talking about City but this is going to be a tough game. Agbonlahor is a danger man, but City has Adebayor back from suspension. It will be tough to pick the winner, but to bet on UNDER 2.5 goals (1.95@Bet365) is a good value bet.
All the games Adebayor has played in (apart from the game against Arsenal) had all been 1-0.

MONDAY VALUE BET - Aston Villa vs Man City UNDER 2.5 goals (1.95@Bet365)

Good luck

Good luck Phil Ivey

4th October 2009

The Final Table of the 2009 WSOP Main Event starts in about a month and one of my favourite players has a chance of winning the bracelet that has eluded him all these years. In 2003 he finished 10th, just one place out of the final table.

Ivey has already picked up 2 more WSOP bracelets this year to put his total at a respectable 7, but he has a chance to get the one he has always wanted, the one everyone wants, the main event bracelet. The 2009 World Series of Poker marks Ivey's first appearance at the main event final table, guaranteeing him no less than a ninth place finish worth $1,263,602. Ivey goes into the final table with the 7th largest number of chips.

Ivey is part of the design team for Full Tilt Poker. He can often be found playing online at Full Tilt, playing high-stakes cash games up to $500-$1000 no-limit and $2000-$4000 limit under the tag Phil Ivey. According to HighStakesDB.com, Phil Ivey earned $1.99 million on FullTilt in 2007 and $7.34 million in 2008.

Good luck Phil Ivey. I hope you win!

Soccer Betting Prediction

3rd October 2009

It is Saturday again and for many football punters, this is the time to make some money. I do not recommend betting on mid-week games because they tend to deviate from "predictable" outcomes. Weekends are best when teams are more focused than usual to play well. This week sees Chelsea face off with Liverpool and both teams are pretty shaky of late, Chelsea losing to Wigan and Liverpool lost to Florentina in a very poor outing. However this is a huge game for both their campaigns and they will step up. Chelsea should be the favourite being at home but they barely won mid-week against a much weaker team. Liverpool on the other hand is reputed to play extremely well against big teams. Best bet is Liverpool +1 (1.66@Bet365). I wouldn't go crazy with this bet but if you really want to bet on this game, this is the way to go. The final result is very likely a draw.

BEST BET of the weekend: Tottenham WIN (2.00@Bet365)
Tottenham's form has been blistering this season. With Keane and Crouch scoring hattricks and the defensive line reinforced by Bassong, they are looking dangerous. Bolton on the other hand hasn't really impressed. At 2.00, the odds are really good for an in-form team and this will easily be the best bet of the weekend.

SIDE BET: Bolton vs Tottenham OVER 2.5 goals. Tottenham has scored 10 goals in the last 2 games, granted 5 of them came against Preston. Keane, Crouch and Defoe have all scored hattricks this season. Bolton however has averaged 2.83 goals per game. So at 1.72, the odds has fallen significantly.

Good luck
